The Elkins City Park was the first park in the City of Elkins. The 9 acres of land was granted to the city by Senator Henry Gassaway Davis and his wife, Katie in 1893. It has become the hub of activity during the summer in the city of Elkins. It features three pavilions, nine picnic sites, a basketball court, eight horseshoe pits, and large playground area.The Elkins City Park was the first park in the City of Elkins.
