Vandy's Barbeque

I can't remember a time that we didn't go to Vandys while we were in Statesboro visiting relatives. And if we didn't go our Statesboro relatives went and brought it home so we would have Vandy's barbecue. I suspose our family has been eating it as long as it's been open. We're on our 4th generation of Vandy's lovers now. It's that wonderful barbecue!!!!

I have been eating their barbecue and Brunswick Stew since the days when we would go to the tobacco markets for the auctions. It has never slipped. It's your basic, down home pit barbecue that comes with the best brunswick stew in the entire country and plain old white bread. Nothin' fancy here, but it's as authentic as you will ever find. You gotta love that crunchy part of the barbecued pork where it gets caramelized on the fire.
